Hey have you ever visited Deoksugung Palace? (덕수궁)

Hey have you ever visited here?

#1.Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁)

The last word ‘gung’ means palace in korean but I just wrote the word 'palace' to help you to understand it more easily.
Did you know that Gyeongbokgung Palace (경복궁) was destroyed during the war between Korea?(by the way at that time it was Joseon(조선) dynasty) and Japan :for some additional information it`s called Japanese Invasion of Korea(1592)). When the Japanese retreated after the war the country was a mess and as I said the palace where they did all kinds of job was destroyed. So the Joseon dynasty needed a place to do the government work, but they were out of money because of the invasion and couldn`t build a big palace like Gyeongbokgung Palace(경복궁) at that time so instead of doing a huge construction they decided to make a more humble one to figure it out and that`s how they built Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁), which is much more smaller than the Gyeongbokgung Palace(경복궁). After king Gwang hae(광해군) ,  the Joseon dynasty moved the government to an another palace and the Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁) remained for other use. At the end of the the Joseon dynasty the Deoksugung palace is a very exotic place they have both Korean and the westenr style buildings in there and they also have a Museum and you can see the stuff that the Joseon royal family used. :)

#2 how to get there.

Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁) is located near Gyeongbokgung Palace(경복궁) but if you are using the Seoul metro just stop at city hall station and and get to the gate number 2 and it is right infront of you.

#3.Pictures

I went there when it was spring so the photo I uploaded are all taken in spring. But Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁) is a great place to visit unless it is raining so just stop by it`s worth it :)
And I heard that they have stores that rent you Korean tradition clothes hanbok(한복) so if you have some time go get a hanbok(한복) and take some picture. :)

below is the website for Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁) :)
